Packet pickup and late registration will be on Friday, May 5th from 10am-6pm at the Evansville DoubleTree Hotel (601 Walnut St). For those that selected to have their bib/shirt mailed to them, delivery will begin about two weeks before the event.
Sorry, there is NO race day packet pickup and there is NO race day registration.
Your timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib. Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt so that it is easily visible to race officials, photographers, and spectators. Anyone seen on course without an official River Run bib will be promptly removed from the event. The bibs (including the timing chips) are yours to keep… they do not need to be returned. If you signed up for free Athlete Updates, your finish time will be instantly sent to you via the method you chose.
A bag drop will be available near start lines from 5:00am to 6:45am. Bags will be transported to the finish area in Evansville. The River Run is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Bags will be subject to inspection. Please do not check any valuables.
Sorry, there is no bike event on the morning of the River Run. But be sure to participate in the Rockin’ River City Ride on Sunday, May 7th!

Evansville bus stop is at Riverside Drive at Cherry Street. No buses will leave Evansville after 6:20am. Please, please, please don’t wait until the last minute to board your bus!
Shuttles are included as part of your race registration.
Sorry, no strollers will be allowed on the buses.
Post-race shuttle from Evansville to Henderson will run from 10am-12noon.

Slow Pace Cut-off
All participants must maintain a 18 minute/mile pace or better in order to re-open the bridge in a timely manner. Unfortunately, no one will be allowed to proceed on to the bridge approach ramp after 9:15am. Transportation to the finish area will be provided for those not meeting the cutoff. (This is subject to change as we get closer to race day based on the recommendations of law enforcement and bridge officials.)
At the request of KDOT, bridge usage will be different than in the early years of The River Run. Participants will be running on the western (driving) lane of the southbound bridge. The eastern (passing) lane will continue to carry southbound Highway 41 traffic. Vehicle traffic will be separated by road construction markers, will be slowed to 30mph, and will be closely controlled by rolling patrols of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department.
Riverside Drive in Evansville will be closed to vehicle traffic. So will the eastbound lanes of Veterans Parkway and one southbound lane of Highway 41. Waterworks Road will be limited to local traffic only… no through traffic.
Water Stations/First Aid
Water stations will be positioned at 2-mile intervals along the course. Water and snacks will also be available at the finish line. Aid stations will be available at the start and finish areas, as well as roving the course. A medical team will be stationed at the finish line. If you need, or see another participant in need, contact an aid station or get the attention of a course worker or race official, or through the mobile app.
